Team Standert celebrates with Pilsner Urquell
Team Standert had great first racing season. So we thought we should celebrate this. As Pilsner Urquell knocked on our door, virtually via e-mail, we knew this is a sign.
As a part of their Braukunst Tour 2015 we had the chance to drink their very special and original Pilsner. THE original Pilsner just as they invented it in 1842 in Pilsen. A beermaster from Pilsner Urquell brought the beer in a 25l wooden barrell which was just delivered directly from Pilsen. After he told us about the history and how the beer was made it was time to “taste” it. Peter, as Slovakian, was the closest to the whole Pilsner Urquell story so it was his turn to tap the barrell. He did a pretty good job, with three hits. The original Pilsner tasted great, super smooth and a little bit sweeter than the normal one. It tasted so good that the barrell soon was empty and we were happy that Pilsner Urquell brought us some additional bottled beer.
The team had a great evening. Talking about what we did this year and about what the next year will bring. And as we plan it’ll bring a lot. A lot of racing, riding and having fun. As the night progressed Alex came out with something special he did for the team. We knew that he’s a chef but we didn’t knew what a brilliant ice cream cake he can do. He did it completely by himself and it was just delicious and didn’t last that long.
In the end most of us were really “tired” and we put a great night to an end.
Big thanks to Pilsner Urquell!
